Tips For Replacing Meat In Meals

I often perplex people with my diet — some people will swear up and down that I’m vegan, when in reality, I do eat some meat (and definitely some cheese). “What are you?” they ask. In reality, I am “nothing,” but I’ve found “flexitarian” to be the closest descriptor of my diet, and it’s a label I’m proud to wear.
There’s plenty of debate about the healthiest way to eat, and many advocates end up falling to some sort of polarized extreme, with staunch veganism on the one end and the Carnivore diet on the other (although the latter, to me, feels far less likely to be the answer).
I’m not here to tell people how they should eat, and I do believe there are variations in individual needs. There’s a reason some people thrive on a vegetarian diet and others get sick, and it’s not because of determination or willpower. I’ve done much research on mood and food, and incorporating high-quality meats into your diet can benefit your mental wellbeing, which is the reason I myself am not a full vegetarian.
