I feel like I’m beating a dead horse by reiterating this information again, but just in case someone’s new here and has no idea what has been going on: My husband Grant and I have been dealing with infertility for almost two years now. We’ve shared a lot of our experience in two different podcast episodes (part 1 and part 2), and I even vlogged our last IUI.
Just a few months ago, we began the process of IVF. We had our egg retrieval in June to create frozen embryos, and the next step will be an embryo transfer. It has been quite the journey so far, so I thought I would share the experience for those who are interested, from the physical to the emotional and everything in between.
In today’s post, I’ll go over:
When we decided it was the right time to do IVF (and what we had tried before)
Our protocol and the number of eggs and embryos we ended up with
Everything I did to prepare before and during the egg retrieval process
How I handled it all, physically and emotionally
Our IVF Experience
