My kids are now in elementary school so their breastfeeding days are long behind us. I had different experiences with both, and agree that there’s such a lack of actual support for women to nurse if they work outside the house. One thing I heard that has stuck with me ever since: breastfeeding is free only if you believe that women’s time doesn’t have worth.

Really apreciate the AI concerns at the top. The deepfake issue isnt just about tech getting good, its about how people process information when they dont even pause to verify anymore. Once trust in what we see erodes that far, even legitimate evidence gets dismissed. Saw this happenning in my own family group chats and it gets messy fast.

Your thoughts on experiencing breastfeeding were pretty much exactly the same as mine! Nobody talks about it, it IS such a journey, so congratulations on 6 months! I was pretty hell-bent on going as long as I could, because I could (yes, not living in the US makes things easier, sad but probably true). Just so glad it got easier as you go :)

And cluster feeding is OOOF, probably when some mamas throw in the towel, sadly. One night I BF for 5 hours. For real. (It was a hot summer day and I noticed when I took baby outside a lot in the heat, there was "hell to pay" later).
